About Cruisers and Choppers
A cruiser is a type of motorcycle with a generally low-slung design. It places the rider lower to the ground with the feet forward and hands up. The spine is erect or leans back slightly, making for a more comfortable ride. Choppers may be considered a type of cruiser, but they involve a motorcycle modified or built from scratch to the owner's needs or wants.
The customized design of a cruiser or chopper is an important issue to consider in the event of an accident. Aftermarket parts and the extensive amount of time, energy, and money that an owner may put into his or her machine make it more valuable and irreplaceable in some circumstances.
