Understanding the Appeal Process
If your initial Social Security Disability application is denied, you have the right to file an appeal. The appeal process itself can be complicated, particularly if your appeal is denied again and again. At the second stage of an appeal, you may have the opportunity to meet face to face with the Administrative Law Judge who will be making the final decision about your case.
How can you be sure that your claim is properly filed and your appeal handled in such a manner as to reach the best possible outcome? What if you need to go to the final stage of the appeals process, which is bringing a case before a District Court Judge? You are required to hire an attorney at that phase of your case.
