You are entitled to medical treatment, as well as compensation for your injuries.
In Oklahoma, we have a law that states if you suffer an on-the-job injury, you are entitled to medical treatment as well as compensation for that injury. If you are unable to work for a certain period of time, your employer is required to pay you a percentage of your wages. Workers’ compensation cases are time sensitive. If you are injured on the job, you must notify your employer as soon as possible. If you don’t, your employer can contest whether or not you actually had an on-the job-injury, because the law does require you to give notice in an appropriate amount of time. Even though the workers’ compensation system does not involve fault, it is an adversarial proceeding, and in that proceeding you need an advocate. You need someone that is going to represent you and work for you; that’s where we come in. Here at the law firm we will do everything we can to ensure that you get the proper medical care and adequate compensation for your injuries.
